Audiobook manuscript checker

Paste or open your manuscript. You get word count, estimated audio length per chapter, and a list of spots a narrator or AI voice must decide how to read.

How it works

Most narration retakes come from the same few things: “1984” read as a number instead of a year, “Dr.” spelled out letter by letter, an acronym nobody agreed on, a URL, or a sentence too long to breathe through.

How to use it: choose a narration speed (155 words per minute is a common audiobook pace), open a .txt or .md file or paste the text, then press Check manuscript. Lines starting with Chapter, Part or # are treated as chapter headings.

The flags are decisions, not errors. Fix them in the text or write them into a pronunciation list before recording, and the narration comes out right the first time.

FAQ

Is my manuscript uploaded?

No. It is read inside your browser and never leaves your computer.

Does it work for Korean text?

The runtime estimate is for English; Korean reading speed is measured in syllables, not words.
