How it works

Most typesetting rework comes from the manuscript, not the layout: a chapter heading at the wrong level breaks the EPUB table of contents, straight and curly quotes get mixed, -- never becomes a dash, and text pasted from a PDF turns every line into its own paragraph.

How to use it: open a .txt or .md file or paste the text, then press Check manuscript. Lines starting with #, Chapter, Part, Prologue, Epilogue or Appendix are treated as headings.

Fix the listed spots in your manuscript, or send them along with it to your typesetter so they become decisions instead of surprises.
