Korean font glyph checker

Find the Korean characters your font cannot draw before players see empty boxes. Get an exact character list for your font atlas.

How it works

Korean has 11,172 possible syllables. To save memory, many games ship a font or a TextMeshPro atlas with only the 2,350 common KS X 1001 syllables โ€” and then a name like โ€œ๋˜ โ€ or a slang word like โ€œ๋ทโ€ shows up as a box.

How to use it: paste the translated strings as key=value lines, a JSON object or plain lines. Choose the font file if you have it; it is read in your browser with the open-source opentype.js and never uploaded. Press Check glyphs.

You get characters missing from the font, syllables outside the 2,350 set with the keys that use them, and the full list of characters used โ€” paste it into Font Asset Creator โ†’ Custom Characters. Tags and placeholders such as <color> and {0} are ignored.

Does it check other languages?

The font check works for any characters; the 2,350 set check is Korean only.
