PDF accessibility quick check
Choose a PDF. In a few seconds you see whether it has tags, a title, a language and alt text on images โ the basics screen readers need.
How it works
Many PDFs fail accessibility for simple reasons: they were exported without tags, the title field is empty, no language is set, or images have no alternative text. These are quick to spot and often quick to fix in the source document.
How to use it: choose a PDF file. It is read inside your browser with the open-source PDF.js library and is never uploaded. You get a checklist with โ, โ or ? for each item.
This is a screening, not a conformance test. PDF/UA and WCAG also need reading order, table headers, contrast and meaningful alt text checked โ use veraPDF or PAC plus a human review for that.
FAQ
Is the PDF uploaded?
No. It never leaves your computer.
Why a โ?โ result?
Some information sits in compressed parts the quick check cannot read; a full validator can.
